Welcome visitor number web counter to Infection, Yume's mp3 rotation site (mostly featuring Japanese music) which rotates 7 biweekly (aka twice a month). I accept requests too. Plus, I would appreciate it if you read the updates each time because I update regularly on the site's progress etc.

This layout was made by me, so please don't steal it! Best viewed at 1024x768. For people using 800x600 please press F11 for better viewing.

Updates

16th May 2008: A quick update: rotation is up! As for the next rotation - it'll be a day earlier. Why? 'Cos I'll be away for a while after that (31st May to 9th June) - hence the rush. So please be understanding~ The next two rotations may be quite messy.

Aside from that, requests have been updated! The music list none at the moment, but in June there'll probably be lotsa due to the number of releases I have my eyes on~

Infection (a mp3 rotation site)
‡ Named after Chihiro Onitsuka's Infection. She's a favourite artist of mine and I love the emotions she puts in as well as her arrangement. 'Infection' is one example and probably my favourite Chihiro song. One particular line from it is "In the night I realize this infection"~

‡ Infection is one of the many mp3 rotation sites out there, but with a pretty colourful history I guess? Previously Infection was on geocities.com, then kindly offered to be hosted on tay's horrorpop.net. When it suddenly went down, Kent graciously hosted Infection on shinkeikaku.org. However, it was time to move as Kent was going to close it down. Hence, I applied to Gesche's saraba.org and was accepted! So here it is. Infection was initially rotating up to almost 20+ songs per month too. But now it has changed to 7 songs every 2 weeks.

‡ Such sites let visitors sample different types of music and introduce/promote artists worthy to take note of. Infection features mainly Japanese music and sometimes Korean. But that does NOT mean leeching off our music lists each rotation and compiling albums on your computer. If you love the music brought to you then take the step to support the artists by buying their albums. It makes a whole world of difference to own their album! And we feel accomplished too.

‡ I'm really crazy to change it after...2 weeks? But I couldn't help it. I wanted to do something new and green. Kiniro no Koruda (La Corda d'Oro) is a refreshing series focusing on classical music. Plus I found adorable Kazuki Hihara with headphones!

‡ Best viewed at 1024 x 768. Used Adobe Photoshop CS2 , DIV layers and CSS. Images from Anime Paper. Brushes and texture from masterjinn @ deviantart. Pattern from Hybrid Genesis. Font used: Violation.

‡ Passionate about music (especially Japanese, Korean, Country and Classical) and wanting to spread the love for them no matter the language - probably why Infection was set up. Inclined towards design and art, following manga and anime closely. There are studies to look after though, so these are all sustained by interests.

Requested by jjjam Talk about polar opposites, HaMC walks down the pop-ballad path! It's quite a refreshing change I admit, and they're singing about partings too. The nice thing is hearing both female and male voices~ Dreams does sound a bit mainstream despite being just really relaxing and almost bittersweet. I guess HaMC fans would be happy to hear them reverting to their usual style in the bridge - just that little bit though. 8.8/10

Requested by chelsae So what do you hear out for here? The piano of course! It's enjoyable, enchanting and almost hypnotising in its own. Those moments without it are a bit boring but prevent you from getting tired of the piano. Hear out for the bridge as the blend of the faint remixed vocals alongside the piano is such a pretty fusion. Stay Gold with Hikki! 9.5/10

Requested by chelsae I really like the melody of HEART STATION. With this instrumental version it's quite delightful to listen out for those finer details. Without Hikki's vocals it does sound a tad plain, but nevertheless still as good to tap along too, especially at the chorus. The bridge is really melodious on its own too - with the strings. In any case, enjoy~ 9.0/10

Requested by ratzel A happy JDA love song~ The chorus is terribly catchy but I prefer the smoother verses. Or maybe I just think Yasu sounds nicer there. Lol. Anyway, the bridge is awesome with the guitars taking the stage. It would've been nice to hear more of that. The ending makes the song quite pop and cheerful, unlike what you would've expected from the beginning. 8.8/10

Requested by gundamfansnet SNoW is probably one of the most individualistic artist I've ever heard. This version is just as nice as the Japanese if not better (it was released before the Japanese one). It flows really well in English~ Catchy acoustic beats with tough but delicate lyrics match her low unique voice to a 'T'. You do not wanna miss out on this song! 10/10 *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

Know the La Corda d'Oro opening Brand New Breeze? Then you might wanna listen in to this. It's the B-side of that very single, but in my opinion it could've been a double A-side! The Power is absolutely stunning. A classical ballad in which her tip-top vocals (alongside the strings) take your breath away, especially in the bridge! Sadly I've no links to the lyrics but I do know that rather than talking about love, it's more about your own self. 10/10 *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

This shouldn't be up but it's amazing! One of the A-sides for their upcoming single. You've heard a bite of Gekidou from D.Gray-Man but this is equally fantastic. A seemingly simple upbeat and loop-worthy song (with lovely pacing) is in truth one of their most inspirational song! Used in a Pocari Sweat CM. Takuya's probably singing about himself and his efforts. Now this is the UVERrevolution I'm talking about. You know that you want this~ 10/10 *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*
